PBS isn’t just about Big Bird. It’s also about the programs it provides, including those for Native Americans.

That agency funds minority programs, including the Native American Public Telecommunications. Seventy percent of that funding, by law, goes to 1,300 local television and radio stations. Recent testimony by the chief executive of CPB said the cost is $1.39 per citizen, substantially less than what is spent by other developed nations.
