Who Is Black In America?

Okay, I blew it. I was doing something else on Sunday night when I should have been watching the fifth installment of  Soledad O’Brien’s Black in America. Who is Black in America? is a CNN documentary that explores how color affects identity. I knew it would come on more than once, and I hoped it would find its way online.

From what I’ve seen, it looks like it was well done.

Some ireport vignettes were released ahead of the project. I saw some talk of this on Facebook Sunday night, but I haven’t seen a lot of reviews of the program. Here’s one from  Loop21 and another from Firedoglake and this one from All Voices. There is also an ongoing conversation on the show’s Facebook page.

The good news is that “Who is Black in America?” will air again on at 8 p.m Dec. 15. I will not miss it this time.

If you’ve seen it, what’s your take?
